Growing up in a family where both of my parents were artists it is in my genes to be creative. MyFather is Syd Mather and we are related to Alfred Eustace and Walter Withers. I have spent all mylife pursuing creative outlets. Expressing myself through artistic endeavours is an essential part oflife for me and creating art is my happy place. I work primarily using traditional mediums for myartworks and also incorporate modern digital techniques when painting some of my prints. I am aself taught abstract artist and I hope to bring you a spark of joy and happiness when you view myartwork. My paintings have a unique style with feelings and emotion through them which I hope toconvey to the viewer. I am a huge lover of colour and texture and always try to capture flow andmovement in my work. I take inspiration from everywhere, however nature is the most inspiring tome. I’ve lived in many places in Australia, and currently live in Perth WA. This exposure to so manydifferent environments has shaped all the imaginary places I paint. Ideas come to me intuitively witha sudden vision then I feel I must create it! The painting naturally evolves as it needs to be throughmany layers. My imagination is always working overtime. Being able to create something that comesfrom my soul is such a blessing to me and I hope you can take something positive away from viewingmy work.
