Dave Homer is an illustrator, painter, and designer based in Sydney, Australia. After holding the position of Art Director at Sony Music for four years, he went on to establish the
multi-award winning design studio Debaser in 2004.

Whilst running Debaser, Dave worked in the Music and Entertainment fields, creating iconic album covers and artwork for some of Australia’s biggest acts. In those 11 years of running Debaser, Dave has won the ARIA Awards (Australian Grammy) for Best Cover Art four times, more than any other artist/designer in the Awards history and was a Final Five
nominee for the award 11 times.

In 2009, he was also awarded London’s prestigious AANDAS Award for Best International Album Cover. In 2014, Dave disbanded the Debaser studio and moved to New York City to further his Illustration career. There, while represented by legendary illustration agents Bernstein & Andruilli, he created illustration work for some of the world’s biggest companies. Nike, Toyota, IBM, Kiehls, Billboard Magazine,

New York Yankees and Whole Foods are just a small list of his diverse roster of clients. Now back in Sydney, Dave is working as a fulltime painter and artist. None of his work is created with
any Ai. Each piece starts with a pencil and paper and is then painstakingly handrawn using either ink or a drawing tablet. Ai ‘art’ is not art!

He is currently working on paintings for his third solo show. Dave’s first book ‘Sonic Iconic’, a coffee table book of illustrations interpreting his 50 favorite albums is slated for release in November of 2026.
