Isabelle Brent

Isabelle Brent is an award winning, internationally known illustrator and artist, originally from England and now living in France. She has illustrated more than 30 books and designed luxury stationery, puzzles and calendars. Her distinctive style, finished with gold leaf, draws on her interest in medieval art and history, and her drawings, paintings and watercolours are notable for their fine detail and realism, offering true mirrors of animal life.

Her paintings have been exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts in London, as well as in Paris, New York, Tokyo and many other places worldwide. She was awarded a gold medal for her book The Christmas Horse and the Three Wise Men, which she also wrote. All her works are done by hand, reflecting a rich diversity within her pictorial art.
