My name Ismed Rizal, born in Jakarta in 1975, a struggling happy artist from Bali.
I try to find freedom in art. I believe this is what it is all about -- freedom. It is freedom of expression and interpretation.
In my art world, the only job and goal is creating a form to connect ideas and suggestions to a larger audience and to move whatever can be moved in the most positive way that art can do.
I like the idea about my privilege to dive into imagination and use all the colour, shape, and composition based on my experience and emotions. I like this kind of freedom.
Also, the understanding of art is not merely aesthetically pleasing, but is reflected in life itself. It must, or at least, feel like art itself.
My work is inspired by the expression “We are stardust”.
And my work description is freedom of interpretation.
