Sharyn Bursic

Sharyn Bursic is a self-taught, naive figurative artist from Australia whose work captures the beauty and humour in everyday life. Working across watercolour, acrylic and oil, she creates vibrant, emotive paintings with a playful, intuitive approach, depicting whimsical yet heartfelt moments such as a cat lounging on a lap or friends sharing a quiet evening with wine.

Her distinctive style brings warmth and charm to familiar scenes, often with a subtle touch of humour, making her figurative works intimate and accessible. Sharyn also explores abstract painting, where her playful use of colour and form continues to reflect the joy she finds in everyday life.
