Victor Tkachenko

Victor Tkachenko was born in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine, and is now based in Toronto, Canada. He began professional art training at age ten, becoming one of few graduates to complete the rigorous program at a well renowned Art School in Ukraine.

Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, Victor shows a mastery of line and colour through purposeful brushwork and a palette dominated by rich earth tones thickly applied to the ground. The physicality of his work is enhanced with accents of ink and, at times, industrial materials such as varnish and plaster. His work can be found in galleries and private collections around the world.
